Year 8’s Tech was a bit different today. They had 1 hour to make a paper bridge. Once the time was up then they had to put a book on one at a time to see how many books their bridge could hold. It was a great challenge. The best team could hold 8 books.
Well done everyone, your bridges all held at least one book.
Today, Tech was a bit different for room 2 Y7’s. Our Year 7’s had a High Tea party, and learned some history about how things were done years ago. They had high tea, with Ham and Cheese sandwiches and decorated biscuits with Pink or Green icing lollies and played some old fashioned games. Ask your child how the Y7’s enjoyed their High Tea party.
On Tuesday, we had some experts come in and teach us about how to putt in Golf. Our learning intention was to hit the target when putting. It was a lot of fun.
This week, we have all been participating in a Readathon at school. We had the choice of stories to choose from. Look at some of the amazing activites we got to do.
My learners have been learning how to write a biography. This is the technique they have been learning.
We are learning to teach shortcuts to others.
